Welding Wire
We are the largest stockists of welding wire in NZ and import our products from the best welding wire manufacturing plants in the world - bar none.
Our Metal Cored Wires from Kobelco Welding (KW) and Nippon Steel Welding & Engineering (NSWE) of Japan are the best performing welding wires available in NZ and represent our emphasis on providing the latest technology products sourced internationally.
Japan, as a narrow, coastal country in the Pacific "Ring of Fire," faces very similar seismic and weathering challenges to NZ and has invested heavily in R & D to minimise the effects of these. Seismic grade flux cored welding wires are particularly important in structural fabrication in NZ.
We are the sole authorised distributor for KW, NSWE and Chosun flux cored welding wires. NSWE's and KW's top performing metal cored wires are only made available to selected distributors in a limited number of countries, helping to keep New Zealand in the group at the forefront of welding knowledge and expertise.
Choosing the right welding wire for the job is crucial for maximising productivity and reducing costs, as well as ensuring quality welds every time. 80- 85% of welding job cost is Labour, saving time with a better quality wire can make a substantial difference.
As an example, when we recommended a trial of KW's MXA-70C6LF to a major customer already using a top quality flux-cored wire, the result was a saving in time and labour costs of 40%! Paying a little more for the most efficient welding wire meant increased productvity, happy welders and a substantially better bottom line for the company.
Take the time to ask us about the latest developments in welding wire products, you may be surprised at the cost savings you can make simply by using a more efficient, faster, cleaner welding wire.
